Ferrocene derivatives like ferrocene, alkylferrocenen and N-butyl ferrocene are widely used as burning rate accelerators in solid composite propellants but are able to vaporize, oxidize or migrate out of the propellant during its manufacture, handling and aging.
Polycene unlike other ferrocene derivatives is a vaporization, oxidation and migration free functional ferrocene prepolymer. It is based on HTPB resin grafted with ferrocene derivative which is chemically equipped as one. And it is the advanced catalysts compared to other ferrocene derivatives.
